About Melbrins | French Illustrator & Visual Storyteller
I'm a French artist exploring identity, resilience and adaptation through illustration, comics, photography and visual storytelling.
For several years, I worked as a full-stack developer and UI/UX designer before deciding to leave my career behind and pursue art full time. Since then, I've adopted a nomadic lifestyle, travelling across Europe, Africa and Asia to experience new cultures and understand how changing environments transform the way we think, create and connect with others.
Rather than documenting the places I visit, I use travel as a creative process. Every journey becomes an opportunity to question my assumptions, meet people with different perspectives and collect experiences that later evolve into illustrations, comics and photographic projects.
My work is built around three complementary practices.
Move explores the world through photography, capturing moments that reveal how people adapt to different environments and ways of life.
Learn transforms lived experiences into comics and visual journals, reflecting on the lessons, questions and personal growth that emerge from travel.
Adapt turns those experiences into narrative illustrations and fictional worlds that explore resilience, belonging and the choices that shape our identity.
Through these projects, I hope to encourage others to remain curious, embrace uncertainty and continue creating regardless of where life takes them.
